COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. --- The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) is announcing that Eric Danner is joining the conference office staff on a full-time basis. Danner, who has been with the RMAC since August of 2003 as co-host of "This Week In The RMAC"
Radio Show, will serve as the league's Coordinator of Media Relations and Director of Broadcast Services. He will begin his full-time role with the RMAC on July 1, 2005.

Danner's involvement with the league increased in September of 2004 when he began dubbing as host and editor of the "RMAC Showcase" TV Show, which airs on the Altitude Sports & Entertainment
(2.5 million households and 11 different states), KWHS in Colorado Springs, Colo. and KWHD in Denver, Colo. "The addition of Eric Danner to the RMAC full-time staff is extremely exciting," said RMAC Commissioner, Joel R. Smith. This move will give Eric an opportunity to return to collegiate athletics and allow the RMAC to enhance its television productions. "Not only is Eric a true professional and great at what he does, but he is very familiar with the RMAC in many different facets."

Prior to joining the RMAC, Eric was the Sports Director at KXRM Fox 21 News in Colorado Springs/Pueblo where he was an award-winning anchor. Danner was also co-host of "Double Coverage Sports" on KKTV CBS 11 News on Sunday nights. From 1996-2000, Eric was an award-winning news reporter and photographer for NBC affiliate KOAA in Colorado Springs/Pueblo. Eric's first professional broadcasting job was at KGWN CBS 5 in Cheyenne, Wyo.

"After the RMAC Presidents/Chancellors Council approved the new position in April, we were prepared to go through the process of a national search," said RMAC Associate Commissioner, Chris Fitzpatrick.
"However, when Eric approached us about his interest, it made complete sense for both parties involved to make this transition. It's a rare opportunity when you have the opportunity to work with someone of Eric's caliber. He brings so many different skill sets to the every day operations of our office. Where else can you find someone who can manage print media responsibilities, produce and host a television and radio show and then serve as Master of Ceremonies for our Hall of Fame & Awards Banquet?"

A 1994 graduate of Metropolitan State College of Denver, Eric also handled color commentary duties for Prime Sports Network on several Metro State men's and women's basketball broadcasts. From 1989-1994, Eric was an assistant in the MSCD sports information office.
His duties included organization and distribution of statistics and press releases, as well as, public address announcing. Eric and his wife, Patti, reside in Colorado Springs, Colo. and are the proud parents of their daughter Mara, who will be two years-old in July.

The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference is a premier NCAA Division II conference located in the states of Colorado, Kansas, Nebraska and New Mexico. The RMAC currently competes in 18 NCAA Division II sports and has earned 30 NCAA Division II national championships and
19 national runner-ups since 1992. Founded in 1909, the RMAC is believed to be the third oldest conference in the United States. The Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association was founded in 1888 and the Big 10 in 1898.
