W&M's Adam O'Connor Brought Aboard as Offensive Line Prospect

WILLIAMSBURG, VA - William and Mary senior defensive lineman Adam O'Connor (Greensboro, NC) has signed a free agent contract with the National Football League¹s Carolina Panthers.

O'Connor will report to the team¹s Rookie Camp starting this Thursday, May 4th, at the team¹s training facility in Charlotte, NC.

What makes his situation more intriguing is the fact that the team is interested in the 6-8, 297-pound prospect as an offensive lineman, a position O'Connor has not played since high school.

A proven performer on the defensive line for the College, O'Connor was a four-year contributor who had started on the Tribe¹s front four the last three seasons. He earned all-conference accolades in each of the last two seasons. His last season on campus, O'Connor was one of the team¹s quad-captains and finished the year with five and a half TFLs, including two and a half sacks while splitting time between tackle and guard. For his career, O'Connor recorded 170 total tackles, with 35 TFLs and 16.5 sacks.
