WILLIAMSBURG, VA (September 21, 2005) With the home opener less than 24 hours away, the College of William and Mary Athletics Department has announced a record amount of football season tickets have been sold. The
2005 total of 2,613 breaks the previous mark of 2,532, set in 1971, the last of Lou Hotlz¹s three seasons as the Tribe¹s head coach.

Along with the increased season ticket base, the Tribe¹s home opener with Liberty coincides with the campus¹ Parent¹s Weekend activities and a large crowd is expected for Saturday¹s 1:00 p.m. kickoff.

William and Mary enters the contest with an 1-2 (0-1 in the A10) mark, but remains in the national top 25 with a No. 16 national ranking.
